Exciting New Format, Exciting Added Features
ApEx 2012 introduced a number of new and exciting additions. We added and will continue to add a number of new elements, many of which have never been seen before at any foodservice industry event, and will work towards our overall objective of creating excitement and energy at ApEx.
Exciting additions we are proud to announce for ApEx 2012:
Product Purchasing – For the first time in the history of ApEx, we provided the opportunity for attendees to purchase a wide range of products at the show. A “Show Special” section of the Show Guide indicated the participating exhibitor’s name, booth number and products they had on sale.
ApEx Charity Breakfast – Industry colleagues enjoyed the annual ApEx Charity Breakfast, 9:00–11:00am on Sunday, April 15. Volunteer chefs from Culinary Team Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Community College provided show visitors with an excellent array of breakfast items.
The Mother Parkers Café – During an action-packed day of walking the trade floor, attending education sessions and taking in events, a break was definitely needed. Exhibitors and visitors relaxed in our well-appointed ApEx Café enjoyed a beverage or two, networked with peers, listened to music, took in the entertainment, saw a “fashion” show featuring the latest in industry products, watched ice carvings take form and more. The Mother Parkers Café was an area where our valued attendees came to gather, relax, talk and kick back for a while.
Other Exciting Additions – Beyond the above, you also saw a number of new additions or enhancements at ApEx 2012. On the trade show floor, we presented a local/organic pavilion, a more diverse group of exhibitors, more food and beverage samples and an enhanced culinary stage, with competitions and tutorials on new cooking techniques, and more. Our educational programs was comprised of the most pressing issues in the industry presented by true industry experts.
